Donald H. Wendorf, 81, of Delavan, died Jan. 11, 2014, at Ridgestone Village in Delavan. He was born on Jan. 17, 1932 in Delavan, to Emil and Clara (Smith) Wendorf. He graduated in 1950 from Delavan High School and married Nancy Ingersoll on June 6, 1952, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan.
He was employed at Borg Products prior to serving four years in the U.S. Air Force and spent a year in Korea. After his service in the Air Force, he worked as a city mail carrier and then as a rural carrier in Delavan for 33 years. He was a very active member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; three sons, Rory, of Delavan, Bruce (Gina Dilly), of Onalaska, and Mark, (Deanna) of Delavan; grandchildren, Jeff (Allie), of Indianapolis, and Kelly, of Onalaska; and one step-grandson, Patrick Cleveland (Jessica Hamlin), of Darien. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Sue.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan with the Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or VNA Hospice.
