Attention Palmyra-Eagle residents: do you have yard work or a project you’ve been meaning to get done, but have not done so? Maybe it’s more than a one-person job, something you could use the help of a couple strong, young men. Or you simply have things you’ve put off but would like to get them taken care of before winter arrives?
Regardless of the reasons, there’s no need to put those projects off any longer – let the Palmyra-Eagle Quarter Back Club step in and help.
The club will host its first fall cleanup event from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12. Palmyra-Eagle High School football players will come to your home and do that physical work for you. Upon completion of the project, the players and QB Club would appreciate a donation that will be put directly toward the cost of the team’s new uniforms.
To take advantage of this opportunity, get help completing your projects while also supporting local high school athletes, call club president Darren Poulson at (262) 495-4241 to make a reservation. If leaving a message include details regarding the scope of the project as well as an address and phone number.
Jobs will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Homeowners are expected to supply all of the necessary tools and are asked to remain on site to provide guidance.
“Dads” of the QB Club will either accompany workers or drive to worksites and check on the progress. After four hours of work time, the football players will return to school to turn in their donations, followed by a lunch provided by QB Club parents.
“This will be great way for our student athletes to work together, as upper and lower classmen will be paired on projects,” Poulson said.
“It also gives our youth a chance to be positively involved in their Palmyra and Eagle communities. We hope that many residents will take advantage of this opportunity to get unfinished work accomplished, and in return, give back to PEHS student athletes,” he added.
