Marian Shannon, 89, of East Troy, found peace Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 in Waukesha.
Born on Sept. 1, 1923 to parents John and Ann Miller in Jefferson, Wis. Shannon married her late husband Lynn, on Oct. 17, 1946 in West Allis and moved to East Troy in 1979.
Marian worked as an executive secretary for many years. Her free time encompassed golf, reading, knitting, cards, and her family dog.
Her love for her family was evident being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (William) Seemeyer of East Troy; granddaughters, Lauren Seemeyer of Chicago and Jessica (Matt) Stebbins of Madison; a sister, Alice Cesar; and sister-in-law, Donna Miller; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive her.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 at 5 p.m. with a visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of services at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy. Inurnment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter’s School tuition fund or the East Troy Lions Public Library were requested.
