Bessie L. Schell, 82, of Darien, died Aug. 5, 2013, at her home. She was born March 21, 1931, to the late George and Estell (Barker) Greene.
She married Edward Schell on Sept. 1, 1951, in Elkhorn. He died on March 8, 2008. She was a member of the American Auxillary and St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie (James) Brovold, Darien, Laurie (Joe) Nickels, Darien, LeAnne Marino, Arizona, and Patti Jo (Dave) Saam, Delavan; sons, Kenneth (Marna), Delavan, Dan (Beverly), Darien, and Eddie (Jennifer), Clinton; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
She was further preceded in death by her grandson, Adam; four sisters; and two brothers.
Services were Aug. 9 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Delavan. Burial followed services in the Darien Cemetery.
Monroe Funeral Home, Delavan, assisted the family.
