The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Southeast Region is proposing a project to rehabilitate US 14 between County K and the Illinois State Line in Walworth County.
The project scope includes resurfacing in the rural areas and reconstruction in the village of Walworth. Construction is expected to take place between 2017 and 2018.
The department is hosting a public information meeting on Thursday, Aug. 30, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Walworth Elementary School, 121 Beloit St.
The meeting will have an open house format to allow attendees an opportunity to discuss the project with staff from the Department of Transportation and the engineering consultants. Exhibits will also be on display. This meeting is an opportunity to ask questions, exchange information, and offer comments and suggestions regarding the proposed project.
All citizens with concerns or knowledge that may assist in the development of this project are encouraged to attend and/or contact project personnel. Those with an interest or knowledge about historical and archaeological resources in the project area are invited to share such information at the public information meeting.
