Karen Louise Henning Reddy, 66, Allen’s Grove, Darien, died at her home May 22. She was born Sept. 21, 1946, in Elkhorn to Ray and Nellie (Kooistra) Henning.
She graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 1964. She then got her associate degree from Rockford Business College. She married Larry Reddy May 4, 1968, in Darien.
She worked at Freeman Shoe Co. in Beloit from 1966 to 1975. She worked for the Delavan-Darien School District from 1976 to 2009.
Her family was her number one priority. She loved collecting antiques and excelled in cooking, baking and canning. She baked mountains of Christmas cookies that she generously shared with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; son, John (Christine), Racine; daughter, Susan (Robert) Buss, Milwaukee; brothers, Jack Henning, Darien, and William Henning, Clinton; and grandchildren, Graham, Arwynne, Adeline, Levi, August and Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Jerry; niece, Shelley; and sister-in-law, Robin Henning.
Funeral services were May 24 at the First Baptist Church of Delavan with the Rev. Mike Ida officiating. Burial was in Mt. Philip Cemetery, Allen’s Grove.
Memorials to Beloit Regional Hospice are suggested. Betzer Funeral Home assisted the family.
