Deane H. Ohmstead, 75, of Delavan, died April 5, 2013, at Williams Bay Care Center, Williams Bay. He was the eldest son of Ruth and Harvey Ohmstead.
He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School, Kenosha. He then graduated from Gateway Technical College as a millwright and in 1957 and went on to work at AMC Corporation and Chrysler Corporation, becoming a master millwright before retiring after 40 years.
He married Joy H. Bose on April 9, 1960. They lived in Kenosha for 38 years. In 1964, they built a home in Pleasant Prairie. In September of 1998 they moved to Delavan to live with their daughter, Kathy Sue White.
Survivors include his wife; son, Randy (Brenda); daughter, Kathy (Dan) White; grandchildren, Jessica White, James and Elyssa Ohmstead; sister, Marie (Robert) Ohmstead-Stacy; brother, Karson (Bonnie) Ohmstead; brother-in-law, Wayne (Frieda) Bose; several nieces and nephews and many good friends from Kenosha and Mesa, Ariz., where they wintered for many years.
Memorial services will be 10:30 Saturday, April 20, in the chapel at Sunset Ridge Cemetery, 6211 38th St., Kenosha.
