Colleen Sue Hopkins Lewis passed away March 14, 2013.
Colleen was born July 1, 1951 in Elkhorn, Walworth County, Wis., to Roy M. and Ann Simpson Hopkins.
She grew up in Troy Center and graduated from East Troy High School in 1969. Colleen attended Milton College.
She married Ronald William Lewis II in 1970. They were later divorced.
Colleen was a gifted musician and a talented writer. She was funny, and compassionate, and in her own words stubborn and independent. She valued friendship and loved animals.
Colleen is survived by a sister, Carol (Cevin) Ormond; and four nephews, Nathaniel, Tim, Mark and A.J. Ormond, and their families.
A memorial service was held near her childhood home in Troy Center on March 30, 2013.
Lakeview Funeral Home, Chicago, assisted the family.
