As weather transitions from summer into fall, a 20-plus year tradition in the City of Delavan is ready to go.
The 22nd annual Scarecrow Fest will take place Saturday in downtown Delavan, with events ranging from a craft and vendor fair to free entertainment and a petting zoo.
“We’ve got four seasons; fall is my favorite,” said Mayor Ryan Schroeder. “Labor Day comes and goes. It’s the first type of fall event (here).”
Schroeder said he thinks the event remains a hit because it is a family friendly atmosphere. Admission is free, with free parking.
“We’ve always had a lot of neat, family friendly events,” he explained.
