The Whitewater Unified School District School Board approved the hiring of the new Whitewater High School Principal, Brent Mansky, earlier this week.
Mansky is currently the principal at Williams Bay Middle/High School.
The district’s leadership team selected a slate of five potential candidates, and after three panel interviews, a student interview and a tour, Mansky was the recommended choice.
The district issued the information via a press release Tuesday.
Mansky and his family currently live in Williams bay. He has two children. He is a graduated of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of the Arts in Broadfield Social Studies (economics) and holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.
He has spent the last 19 years in a variety of roles in Wisconsin public education.
Mansky will resume responsibilities on July 1. Whitewater families will have a chance to meet Mansky Thursday, Aug. 11, from noon to 5 p.m. at the high school on registration day.
Mansky wrote a letter of introduction to the district, saying that he is “honored” to have the chance to lead a school “with such a rich tradition of excellence in academics, the arts and co-curricular programs in such a supportive community.”
“I am looking forward to joining the excellent team assembled within the Whitewater School District and working with you as a partner in education to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for all students,” he added in his letter.
