Nancy M. Sanders, 85, of Delavan, passed away on Nov. 10, 2021, at Holton Manor in Elkhorn.
She was born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 28, 1936, to Robert and Bernice (Smales) Burnet. Nancy was united in marriage to Ron Sanders on May 5, 1956 in Chicago.
She was a librarian for many years, working in Elk Grove for 16 years before moving to Delavan and volunteering at Aram Public Library in Delavan. Nancy served on the library board for 10 years and was a Friend of Aram Library for 25 years.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ron; three children, Susan (Donald) Baker, of Elk Grove, Ill., Lauren (Bob) Hartman, of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Ron Sanders, of Elk Grove, Ill.; six grandchildren, Scott (Brooke) Baker, Theresa Hartman, Stephan (Carolyn) Baker, Timothy (Christine) Hartman, Gregory Baker and Daniel (Stephanie Jack) Baker; four great-grandchildren, Delia, Jameson, Riley and Layla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation celebrating Nancy’s life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Wednesday Nov. 24, at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan. Memorials can be directed to the Aram Public Library.
