Annual Authorfest event to take place online
The Friends of the Lake Geneva Library and Breadloaf Books recently announced the annual Beachside Authorfest held in Lake Geneva’s Library Park will continue with a change in venue this year as Online Authorfest 2020.
For five years, Beachside Authorfest has featured local area authors in the park surrounding the Lake Geneva Library. Each year the number of authors has increased along with local community and visitor attendance. This year’s event, Online Authorfest 2020, will be available to an even wider audience via the Lake Geneva Public Library website.
“Authors are pleased we are still able to offer this showcase virtually. They’re excited about the opportunity,” said Chris Brookes, Friends of the Lake Geneva Library Beachside Authorfest coordinator.
Online Authorfest 2020 is a virtual event being created as a website listing dedicated to supporting works of valued local writers. The site will open for all to visit on the original Authorfest date, July 11, and be available until Aug. 13. Patrons will find out what is new with their favorite authors and get acquainted with new writers and their books.
Authors are invited to join Online Authorfest 2020 by completing application form on the library’s website, www. lakegeneva.lib.wi.us.
