ESTHER GARLOCK

Esther Marie Garlock, 73, of Eagle, left her earthly home for Heaven on May 11, 2020, in Dunnellon, Fla.

Sher was born on April 3, 1947, to Sidney and Dorothy (Stoddard) Detlof. She grew up in the Eagle area and graduated from Mukwonago Union High School. Esther married Lonnie Garlock and the Lord blessed their union with two loving children, Tammie and David.

Esther was one of the most amazing and giving people around. She loved to host gatherings and holidays with all of her family and you never left her house hungry. She was happiest when spending time with those she loved, working in her beautiful flower gardens or reading a book. She loved animals including her many grand-dogs and she was a die-hard Packers fan. Esther was not only a shareholder, but a Packer Partner and loved going to Green Bay for a game or even family night.

She also had a heart for community and service and was involved in the Palmyra Red Hat Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. Esther had a thirst for life that would draw people in and she played a mean game of bingo. She forged many friendships in the Palmyra and Eagle communities and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by: her children, Tammie (Rob) Corradi of Dunnellon, Fla., and David (Gina) Garlock of Helenville; her grandchildren, Jenni (Nick) Berlick, Tyler (Catie) Berlick, and Lonnie Garlock; her great grandchildren, Kyla and Edyn Berlick; her siblings, Arnold (Joan) Detlof, Earl Detlof, John (Pam) Detlof, and Kevin (Linda Wall) Detlof. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her loving husband, Lonnie; her parents; her dear grandson, Brady David Garlock; and a brother, Elsworth (Fudd) Detlof.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Esther’s honor may be made to her family.

Esther will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery during a private family service.

Gibson Family Funeral Homes of Eagle & Palmyra is serving the family.
