The Wisconsin School for the Deaf was recently represented at the Wisconsin State Winter Games for Special Olympics by Jessica Konkol, who competed in the snowshoeing event.

Konkol won silver medals in the 100 meter and 200 meter races.

It was the first time she had run the 200 meter, but she never gave up and ran the whole way,” WSD’s Athletic Director, Matthew Eby said.

Eby said Konkol’s fans were impressed and excited with her success.

“Great job Jessica! You represented WSD very well,” Eby said.
