The Board of Directors of the Dementia Friendly Initiative – Walworth County recently announced that Andrew Kerwin and Dan Nordsieck are joining the board.
Kerwin serves as owner/operator for the Geneva Crossing Senior Community in Lake Geneva. He has been an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association of southeast Wisconsin serving as facilitator of the Lake Geneva Area Alzheimer’s Support Group since 2004 and Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of the Walworth County Walk to End Alzheimer’s having served in this capacity from 2007 to 2017. Kerwin continues to serve on the Walworth County Walk to End Alzheimer’s Walk Committee.
He’s active in local charitable organizations serving as 2019/2020 President of the Lake Geneva Lions Club and Past President of the Lake Geneva Jaycees (2006-2007). Since 2009, Kerwin has served on the volunteer board of the Wisconsin Illinois Senior Housing a 501(c)3 non-profit specializing in nursing home and assisted living care since 2009. He became chairman of the board in May 2016.
Kerwin is also member of the Walworth County Aging Network (WCAN). Andy currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Walworth County Transportation Coordinating Committee.
Nordsieck has worked as an executive sales leader for more than 25 years with global consumer goods companies. In 2003 he began his own business advisory company and has been helping clients with their growth strategies and brand building campaigns.
Most recently, Nordsieck served as the executive director of the United Way of Walworth County, resigning that post in October of 2019.
Nordsieck has served as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout volunteer, at his church in a variety of roles and as a board member of his homeowner’s association. He and his wife have also volunteered at several Walworth County agencies.
He has spent many years travelling throughout the United States and internationally for business and now looks forward to focusing on the needs of senior citizens and their caregivers in Walworth County.
Nordsieck and his wife live in Lake Geneva and enjoy their three dogs, gardening, reading, boating and visits from the grandchildren.
