Robert H. Diamond Sr., 92, passed away peacefully in Cape Coral, Florida, on Oct. 2, 2019. Bob was born in Milwaukee but grew up in Palmyra.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1946 where he served as a surgical tech in Japan. He eventually settled in East Troy, where he started his own trucking and redi-mix business Diamond Trucking and East Troy Redi-Mix.
Bob was a member of American Legion Post 188 and also was a volunteer member of the East Troy Fire Department for 40 years. He enjoyed nature, wildlife, traveling and living life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cynthia (Nehls); son, Robert Jr. (Ann); stepchildren, Katherine Thompson, Jeffrey (Cari) Collum, Jennifer Collum-Cepican; seven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Betenz.
Funeral services will be at noon Monday, Oct. 21, at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
The burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Skoponong Cemetery in Palmyra.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the East Troy Volunteer Fire Department are suggested.
