Special Olympians heading to Lacrosse for the state competition began June 6 with a Torch Run at the Walworth County Government Center in Elkhorn to Kwik Trip followed by another run in Whitewater. Later, prior to heading to Lacrosse for the State Games, the buses the athletes rode on made their way through VIP Services’ parking lot where a crowd sent them off with loud cheers.
