Alexis Nagy, the daughter of Walentyna Marczyk and Andrew Nagy, and Trent Hernandez, the son of Holly Ayen and Rafael Hernandez, were selected as the Delavan Rotary Club students for the month of April.
Nagy participates in volleyball, yearbook club, FFA, Comet mentors, T.R.A.I.L., and student council. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She volunteers as a youth volleyball coach, with the DAYS (Delavan Area Youth Service) foundation, at the Aram Public Library, the Delavan-Darien Athletic Booster club, is a youth camp assistant, FFA plant sales, food drive, and recycling, and as a volleyball tournament line judge.
After high school Alexis plans to attend Bryant and Stratton College to play volleyball and pursue an associate degree in business and as a physical therapy assistant. Her future goals are to move on to a four-year college, obtain her degree, and open her own volleyball club.
Hernandez participates in Student Council, football, baseball, basketball, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), and is on the senior class committee. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteers with the DAYS (Delavan Area Youth Service) Foundation, the Harold Johnson food pantry, United Way, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the Hunt Off Hunger.
After high school Trent is attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and majoring in Entrepreneurship. He plans to open his own business after college.
As recipients of this award, a Delavan-Darien High School administrator escorted the two students to the Rotary Club luncheon at Lake Lawn Lodge on April 24.
