The Geneva Lakes Family YMCA 33rd annual auction, “A Midwinter Night’s Dream,” presented by Johnson Financial Group, was Feb. 16 at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa. The auction and night out saw 450 guests in attendance and raised more than $72,000 for the Y.
The themed celebration featured an open bar, appetizers, plated dinner, silent and loud auctions and after hours party and entertainment.
“We are incredibly thankful for the support of the local businesses and the community who so generously support the efforts of the YMCA,” Geneva Lakes Family YMCA CEO Mike Kramp said. “We reinvest this money back into the community by providing Outreach and Financial Assistance Programs.”
Sponsors for the event included: Johnson Financial Group, Bill and Linda Priebe, The Lake 961, BMO Harris Bank, Form Wealth Advisors, Grand Geneva Resort and Spa, Master Services, Popeye’s, Stinebrink’s Piggly Wiggly, Baker Tilly, Community State Bank, Next Door Pub and Pizzeria, First National Bank, Lynch Family of Dealerships, Chamberlain and Henningfield CPA’s, Scherrer Construction, Fox River State Bank and Town Bank.
Next year, the auction is scheduled for Feb. 15 at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa, with a “Wild West” theme.
The next community-planned event will be the third annual Sprint for Spring 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 27. Additional details, registration and sponsorship opportunities for the chip-timed race can be found at GenevaLakesYMCA.org/5k.
