Donations to be given to the Clothing Outreach Center in Elkhorn
The Walworth County Visitors Bureau is accepting new or gently used coats, sweaters, hats, mittens and other warm clothing items as part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s Big Bundle Up campaign. The Big Bundle Up is a statewide collection program that runs through Jan. 2.
As part of the Big Bundle Up, the Walworth County Visitors Bureau will give each person who donates five cold-weather items a free buy-on-get-one-free card. One card equates to five free items; two cards, 10 items; and three cards, 15 items.
BOGO cards are normally sold for $10 each and contain deals from businesses throughout Walworth County.
This is the eighth year of the Big Bundle Up. To date, the program has collected 134,441 warm winter items to help families in need. In addition to the Walworth County Visitors Bureau Travel Information Center, other collection sites, including Travel Wisconsin Welcome Centers, are located throughout the state.
