Brenda L. Merath, 66 of Elkhorn, entered eternal life peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home on Nov. 28, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Sauk County, to the late Harry and Gladys (Hemker) Clanigan.
She grew up on a farm in LaValle before moving to Lake Geneva in sixth grade and graduating from Badger High School.
Brenda and her beloved husband of 47 years became long-time residents of East Troy, lovingly raising two children.
She was a dedicated employee at Northern Precision Casting for 30 years, retiring three years ago.
She enjoyed traveling with family and spending time up north at their cabin. You would often find her baking delicious desserts enjoyed by many. Most of all, Brenda loved spending time with her family and friends.
A truly good person in everyway, she had the kindest, most thoughtful, caring soul. She loved well and was loved in return by so many.
She is survived by her husband, Darrel; son, Jason (Robin); daughter and best friend, Shannon; sisters, Gloria Baumann and Linda (Greg) Harris; granddaughter, Maddie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
