Thomas G. Recknagel, 64, passed away peacefully Aug. 14, 2018, at Glenwood Memory Care, Whitewater. He was born on Oct. 31, 1953, in Milwaukee, to Wilbert and Austine Recknagel.
He was a client of Vocational Industries and had worked at Rest Area Maintenance.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Scott; sister, Kay Riek; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, East Troy.
Legacy Funeral Services is assisting the family.
My best memory of Tom is that one time the Vocational Industries bus’s engine caught on fire, with every one out, Tom, the group home boys who lived at Paine’s group home, and I all walked home, and I used to live near the group home, I now live in Grosse Pointe, Mi. but anyway Tom , and and that day enter my mind often.
