The Village of East Troy Police Department is still looking for the man who allegedly robbed the Associated Bank at 3292 Main St. yesterday afternoon.
According to a press release from the department, the bank was held up at 2:11 p.m. on June 19. Village and Town of East Troy police, along with Walworth County deputies responded to the call at 2:20 p.m.
Village Police Chief Jeremy Swendrowski said they don’t believe the man had a weapon.
“He didn’t apply one and he didn’t show one. He just went in and told them to but the money in a bag, I believe,” Swendrowski said.
Police haven’t released the exact amount the robbery suspect got away with, but Swendrowski said it was “a couple thousand” dollars.
The sheriff’s office is assisting the village police department in the investigation and Swendrowski said the suspect was still at large as of Wednesday morning.
Witnesses to the alleged robbery described the suspect as male, possibly 30s to 40s years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with acne scars (pitting) on his face.
Witnesses also said the possible getaway vehicle was driven by a woman possibly 30s in age with light brown hair in a possible ponytail. She was wearing tall black boots and was about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet in height.
“If anyone recognized him or knows anything about this, please just give us a call,” Swendrowski said.
