Evan Blanton won the conference title in the shot put for the third straight year and helped the Elkhorn Area High School boys track & field team to a second straight Southern Lakes Conference title May 15 at Elkhorn.
The Elks competed Tuesday in a WIAA Division 1 regional meet at Westosha Central High School in Paddock Lake and compete today in a WIAA Division 1 sectional meet at Lake Geneva Badger High School.
“It was a thrill for our boys to win the conference championship for the second year in a row,” Elks coach Steve Simonson said. “It was our team depth, along with some outstanding individual performances, that allowed us to win the meet.”
