The 22nd annual Walworth County Fur and Feather Swap is set for 7 to 10 a.m. today at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn.
The event connects vendors and buyers with small animals, equipment and crafts. A lunch stand is available inside the heated activity center.
General admission to the Swap is $2. Children younger than 12 years old are admitted free.
Selling spaces are available the day of the swap on a first-come, first-served basis. Outdoor spaces are $5, and indoor spaces are $10.
State law requires all poultry to be accompanied by health papers. Copies will be collected before entry.
More information can be obtained from Dale Wheelock at 262-882-3633 or Rick Henningfeld at 262-745-6967.
Updates are also available on the swap’s Facebook page.
Proceeds from the swap support the Fur and Feather Sale at the Walworth County Fair. Since 1975, the Fur and Feather Sale has showcased blue ribbon poultry, rabbits and goats from Walworth County 4-H and FFA members.
All proceeds from the sale benefit the exhibitors, who also may apply for scholarships to further their educational goals after graduation.
The sale takes place every Labor Day in the Wiswell Center at the Walworth County Fairgrounds.
