The East Troy Village Board gave Public Works Director Jason Equitz the go ahead Feb. 5 to contract with August Winter & Sons Inc. to rehabilitate the South Street Lift Station at a cost of about $1 million.
Equitz said August Winter & Sons, of Appleton, submitted the lowest bid for the project with the other two bids coming in at about $1.2 million and $1.3 million.
The board also approved $58,000 for the engineering of the project.
Equitz told the board the project will be financed with a loan from the Clean Water Fund, which provides low-interest loans from the state to fund wastewater projects.
The South Street Lift Station project is part of the village’s 2018 capitol improvement plan and is in this year’s budget. Construction is expected to begin in August/September.
