A Darien resident won $1 million when he had five numbers correct in Saturday’s Powerball.
Roger Cobb, 48, bought the winning ticket at the Delavan Mobil Mart, 502 Borg Road.
The Powerball jackpot was $425 million Monday with a drawing scheduled for Wednesday.
Mobil Mart owner Neil Gill said Cobb’s winning is the largest in the more than 11 years he has owned the station.
“We did have a couple $100,000 winners here a few years back,” Gill said. “But no one ever claimed those tickets.”
The Mobil Mart sold $10,000 winning Hit tickets to Jose Jimenez, of Loredo, Texas and Norman Lieder, of Delavan, in August.
According to the Wisconsin Lottery, winners must claim their prize in Madison within 180 days after the numbers are drawn. Wisconsin law states the only valid receipt for a winning ticket is the ticket itself. Gas stations and other locations that sell lottery tickets can distribute winnings of up to $500.

Wisconsin Lottery Director Mike Edmunds said that any prizes not claimed go back into the lottery and into property tax relief programs.
Edmunds said Cobb’s ticket was a “quick pick,” meaning the numbers were computer-generated. He said about 70 percent of all Powerball winners are quick picks.
“Roger Cobb didn’t the jackpot, but he was sure a happy guy,” said Edmunds.
Cobb declined to have his picture taken and posted on the Wisconsin Lottery’s website and declined a press conference, Edmunds said.
Gill said sales for Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot of $425 million were very good.
“We’ve sold $40, $50, $60 and even $100 worth of lottery to single buyers,” he said.
The lottery sales are also good for business. Gill said that people come to his station for gas, then pick up some lottery tickets and purchase other items while they are there.
