Black men in rusty car pointed gun at bicyclist, took money

Delavan police are seeking a man suspected of pointing a gun at a bicyclist and demanding money Oct. 18.

The victim told police he was robbed at gunpoint on Terrace Street south of Washington Street at about 9:15 a.m. Oct. 18, according to Delavan police.

The man said he was riding his bicycle when a rusty brown four-door sedan drove up to him with two men inside. The passenger rolled down his window and asked the victim for directions, according to a press release from the department. When the victim began to give the passenger directions, the passenger pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The driver and passenger drove off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

The vehicle is described as a brown, rusty, four-door sedan that looks similar to an Impala with Illinois plates. The passenger was described as a black man in his 20s or 30s wearing a red and white Cardinals hoodie. He also has a tear drop tattoo under one of his eyes. The driver also was a black man, according to police.
