Projected mill rate expected to increase slightly

At last week’s City of Elkhorn Common Council meeting councilmembers opted in favor of setting a public hearing on the 2018 budget for 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 13 at City Hall.
During his report Oct. 16, City Administrator Sam Tapson offered what he described as highlights of the 2018 budget.
Tapson said the non-property tax revenue stream is projected at $31.2 million, which includes about $3 million in proposed general obligation debt in the next year.
