A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 11 for an Elkhorn man charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.
Kevin P. Strickhouser, 30, was charged Aug. 17 in Walworth County Circuit Court with four counts of sexual of a child younger than 16 years old and two counts of child enticement.
According to the criminal complaint, the boy, now 17, reported in July that a man had sexually assaulted him in December 2014 and January 2015 in the Town of Sugar Creek.
While at Strickhouser’s home, the teenager said Strickhouser took him upstairs to look at a speaker system, and, while in Strickhouser’s bedroom, Strickhouser sexually assaulted him, according to the complaint.
On a second occasion, the boy said Strickhouser again took him to the bedroom and again sexually assaulted him, according to the complaint.
Strickhouser initially denied having sexual contact with the boy but later said the boy wanted to have sex and was persistent about wanting to “mess around,” according to the complaint.
