Walworth resident to present at Quilt Expo

The upcoming Quilt Expo in Madison, taking place Sept. 7-9, will feature a session led by a local resident renowned for her quilting and sewing expertise.

Barbara Peterson, of Walworth, will lead a lecture titled “English Paper Piecing – Hexagons” at the expo.

Quilt Expo, presented by Wisconsin Public Television with Nancy Zieman, host of public television’s “Sewing With Nancy,” runs Thursday, Sept. 7 through Saturday, Sept. 9 in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. An estimated 20,000 quilt lovers will attend.

Additional highlights at the expo will include:

  • A 10-category quilt contest exhibit;
  • A vendor mall with the latest sewing and quilting products from nearly 200 national and international vendors, and;
  • A prize raffle and the opportunity to meet dozens of nationally known celebrity presenters.

Tickets are on sale now and attendees are encouraged to pre-register for lectures, workshops and evening events at quiltexpo.com.

Those that register by Sept. 4 will save $2 per ticket.
