An Elkhorn man pleaded guilty May 24 to two felony sexual assault charges and is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 22.

Jeffery S. Pestor, 54, pleaded guilty to two counts each of first-degree sexual assault of a child, and two counts of exposing his genitals to a child against him were dismissed but read in to the record, meaning they can be considered at sentencing. The sexual assault convictions carry maximum sentences of 60 years in prison each.

A Walworth County detective analyzed Pestor’s cell phone and found thousands of images of girls younger than 18 years old in various stages of undress and in sexual poses, according to the criminal complaint. A photo believed to be taken in Pestor’s home based on GPS tracking of Pestor’s cell phone on April 24 was of a girl in a similar pose, according to the complaint.

Many of the photos appeared to be of girls younger than 10 years old, and one picture showed a girl performing fellatio on an adult man, according to the complaint.

In the sexual assault case, Pestor is charged with exposing himself to and touching a 4-year-old girl.

Pestor allegedly intentionally urinated in front of a 4-year-old girl on one occasion and exposed his genitals to the girl and told her to touch his erect penis, which she did, on another occasion at a Town of Lafayette home. According to the criminal complaint, the girl told police Pestor twice touched her private parts.

He also pleaded guilty May 24 to possession of child pornography in another Walworth County case and is scheduled to be sentenced on that conviction at the same time as the sexual assault charges.

Pestor was convicted of abduction and first-degree sexual assault in Walworth County in 1989 and sentenced to 15 years in prison for those offenses.
