“Our job, over the next 10 days, is to refocus, both as coaches and as athletes, and get ourselves in a position to win a conference championship,” Simonson said. “We have the talent to do it, but we will face a very strong test from several of the teams in the conference. It is time to take things to the next level.”
For the girls, Belle Ewan won the 100 dash in 12. 55 seconds and set a school record.
Ewan, Tiffany Orin, Gabby Pinnow and Madison Page finished second in the 4×200 relay (1:50.46). Ewan also finished third in the long jump with an effort of 6-3.5.

“Although our girls are not bringing home championships from these invitationals, I feel like they will still be a team that can contend when we get to the conference meet,” Simonson said.

The Elkhorn girls scored 60.5 points. Jefferson won the girls meet (130).
