The Elkhorn Area High School boys tennis team won two non-conference dual meets April 29 at home.
The Elks beat Big Foot and Janesville Craig by identical scores of 4-3.
Elkhorn played a SLC dual meet Tuesday at home against Wilmot, and play in a SLC dual meet today at Badger High School in Lake Geneva.
The Elks beat Union Grove 4-3 April 27 in a SLC meet at Union Grove and beat East Troy 4-3 April 25 in a non-conference meet at East Troy.
Against Craig, the Elks’ Brant Christensen beat Alex Sapozhnikov 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Nick White, at No 3 singles, beat Craig’s Aidan Eno 6-3, 6-2.
Caleb Barlow and Cory Purcell, at No. 2 doubles for the Elks, defeated Sam Karl and Avery Hanel 6-2, 10-8 after losing the first set 6-3.
At No. 3 doubles, Sid Babu and Joe Bosman beat Craig’s Josh Anselmi and Evan Sullivan 6-0, 6-0.
Christensen, White and Babu and Rosman also won matches against Big Foot. At No. 4 singles, Ian Tuck beat Big Foot’s Evan Karabas 6-1, 6-1.
Against Union Grove the Elks’ Graham Garcia at No. 2 singles, White at No. 3 singles and Tuck at No 4 singles each won their match, as did Babu and Bosman at No. 3 doubles.
Christensen lost a tight, three-set match to East Troy’s Nick Bourdo. Christensen won the first set 6-2 before Bourdo took the second set 6-1 and the third set 10-3.
At No. 2 singles, the Elks’ Colin Passler defeated CJ D’Amico 6-1, 6-0. White beat Jordan Paullin 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Tuck beat Logan Fitch 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
Babu and Bosman defeated the Trojans’ Josh Moede and Larry Mitchell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.
“They all are very strong heading into our final matches of this season before conference in two weeks,” coach Donna Neshek said of the Elks. “This being said, our toughest match will be with Badger. We are ready for them.”
