The softball squad wasn’t the only team to face a state-ranked opponent Tuesday, as the Big Foot baseball team fell 11-0 to Turner, which entered play this week ranked third in Division 2.

Turner scored in all seven of its at bats, including two runs in the top of the first, and never looked back.

Austin West collected Big Foot’s only hit. Braden McCarthy took the loss, as he allowed five hits, four earned runs, two walks and struck out one in three innings. Heath Dillenbeck worked the final four innings, and allowed seven hits, four earned runs, a walk and struck out one.

Big Foot (0-5 overall) traveled to Turner Thursday, followed by a home game Monday, April 17, against Jefferson, at 4:30 p.m.
