James Michael Konz, 61, died Dec. 18, 2016, at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Ill.
He was born in Culver City, Calif., Aug. 19, 1955, to Nicholas and Margaret (Granahan) Konz. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Margaret; five sisters, Kathy (Jim) Wallace, Mary Ann Loenneke, Laura (Ron) Teramani, Kelly Espejo, and Toni Schnur; three brothers, Nick (Nancy) Konz, Thomas (Peggy) Konz, Christopher (Dana) Konz; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Daniel.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Ill., Chapel Service will be at Queen of Heaven Chapel, 1400 S. Wolf Road in Hillside, Ill.
