Eunice Faith Totten, 97, passed away Oct. 22, 2016.
She was born Aug. 29, 1919, in Wild Rose, to Lester and Adeline (Blaire) Ditzenberger. Eunice married Donald Harold Totten in 1939 in Lake Geneva. Together they farmed in the Johnstown area near Janesville and raised four children. Later they retired to Whitewater.
Eunice was a skilled housewife who was a great cook, outstanding seamstress, enjoyed playing cards, reading books and loved to crochet. She attended Milton Methodist Church and then First United Methodist Church in Whitewater. Following the death of her husband in 1980, she moved to Panama City Beach, Fla., to reside with her daughter, Diane and her husband, Scott. Eunice lived a long and very full life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and Leslie; sisters, Ruth, Edith, Agnes and Mary Ann; grandson, Steven Totten; and daughter-in-law, Luanne Totten.
Eunice is survived by four children; Larry (Patti) Totten, of Buffalo, Minn., Patty (Jim) Douglas of Janesville, Greg Totten of Black River Falls, and Diane (Scott) Ingraham of Panama City Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Donna Ditzenberger; along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in Whitewater on a future date.
