Mamma Mia! at Young Auditorium Monday

Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ Mamma Mia!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, arrives at the Young Auditorium for one night only – Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.

It’s considered one of the most successful musicals of all time, the eighth longest running show in Broadway history and one of only five musicals to have run for more than ten years on Broadway. The West End production is now in its eighteenth year. To date, it’s been seen by more than 60 million people worldwide in 50 productions in 16 different languages.

Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs including “Dancing Queen,” “S.O.S.,” “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me,” Mamma Mia! is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found. Tickets for the show are $29.75 to $55.   Young Auditorium is offering a special pre-show dining experience at 5:30 p.m. for $25 per person. The meal will be served buffet style with water and coffee. A cash bar will be available and seating for dinner begins 90 minutes before curtain time, providing ample time to enjoy the dining experience and conversation prior to curtain time.

The dinner menu will include: Antipasti platter, fresh Caprese salad, Chicken Saltimbocca with herb butter sauce, rustic Italian Pork Marsala, spinach artichoke house-made lasagna, three Cheese Risotto, zucchini and roasted peppers blend, roasted parmesan tomatoes, and Tiramisu.
