Jackie Snyder, 88, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away peacefully Aug. 29, 2016, after a long illness of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
She was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 7, 1927. During her lifetime she was an award-winning artist, music lover and avid University of Florida football fan. She attended art school in Milwaukee and at the University of Florida.
Jackie was retired after a long career as a mental health and substance abuse counselor. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Elithorp, of Delavan and Sarasota, Fla.; former husbands, Robert E. Hauffe formally of Delavan, and James W. Snyder, of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Paula J. Hauffe, of Marianna, Fla.; and a grandson, Ian McKeever, of Lynn Haven, Fla. She is survived by her daughters, Georgia A. Hauffe and Naomi McKeever; son-in-law Raymond McKeever; and granddaughter, Emilee A. McKeever, all of Lynn Haven, Fla.
