The Friends of the East Troy Lions Public Library is sponsoring a third annual play as a fundraiser for library programs. The play is “Death by Chocolate” by Craig Sodaro, produced by special arrangement with Heuer Publishing LLC.
The cast includes Tim West, East Troy; Laura Larson, Mukwonago; Connie Gehl, Mukwonago; Sheri Watkins, Mukwonago; Adam Lemarr, East Troy; Judy Atkinson, East Troy; Jodi Pogorzelski, Burlington; Sondra Gesselle, Walworth; and Jamie Watkins, Mukwonago).
Jenna Watkins is a technical assistant.
Mary Hubbard Nugent, East Troy, is directing the play.
The murder mystery/comedy takes place in the Precious Perks Coffee Shoppe where the signature drink, Death by Chocolate, actually has claimed not one victim, but two. Before a third murder takes place a private eye is brought in to investigate. Humor, intrigue, greed, and false deductions take place, but in the end all is solved.
The production will be presented at Ivan’s Back Stage, 2087 Division St., East Troy. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 7 and 8, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Oct. 9. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the East Troy Lions Public Library or at Ivan’s on the Square. Seating is limited; advance purchases are recommended.
