Hit Maxwell Street Days this weekend

The Whitewater Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual uptown and downtown Maxwell Street Days event Friday and Saturday on Main Street with indoor and sidewalk sales and more. Hours are dependent on each individual store and vendor so shoppers are advised to check with their favorite stores for their hours during the event.

Both days of the event, the chamber will host its 6th Annual Brat & a Buck Sale. Members of the chamber will be grilling and serving brats and hot dogs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the office, 150 W. Main St.

A purchase of a brat or hot dog will net the buyer a Chamber Buck to be used elsewhere. Meals that include chips and soda (Coke, Diet Coke, Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew) or bottled water will also be offered.

Businesses interested in placing orders in advance can do so by calling (262) 473-4005 or emailing info@whitewaterchamber.com. Orders of $25 or more will qualify for delivery in Whitewater.

On Saturday, Maxwell Street Days will feature live music by Sweetland from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on First Street; children’s face painting; dance performances by the Whitewater Park and Recreation Department’s Youth Summer Dance Program at 1 p.m., and; appearances from some favorite local mascots.
