Two skydivers, diving with Skydive Milwaukee/Sky Knights in East Troy, were injured late Monday afternoon when their parachutes apparently got twisted together during their descent.

“We had two skydivers go down at the East Troy Municipal Airport,” Village of East Troy Police Chief Alan Boyes said. “Preliminary reports show their parachutes got tangled.”

Boyes said both skydivers were in “serious condition” and had been transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

In a press release Tuesday morning, Boyes said one parachutist, a 32-years-old man from Scottsdale Arizona, was transported by ambulance and a 28-year-old man from Waukesha was transported by Flight for Life, both to Froedtert Hospital.

As of Tuesday morning, the condition of the parachutists was unknown.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
