A Rock Valley Conference title paid huge dividends for the Big Foot-Williams Bay girls soccer team when it came time for the postseason honors.

The Chiefs landed nine girls on the three RVC teams, led by senior midfielder Morgan Courier, who was voted by the coaches as the Player of the Year.

Courier, who is headed for NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay in the fall, was joined on the first team by senior forward Morgan Grunow and junior defender Maddie Palmer.

Voted to the second team were freshman forward Abby Peterson, senior midfielder Annalise Floody, freshman defender Molly McEneany and junior goalie Enna Peterson.

Rounding out the selections were honorable mention picks Maureen Hammett and Molly Kearney.

In statistics through 16 games online, Courier led the Chiefs with 21 goals and eight assists, followed by Grunow with 14 goals and 10 assists.

Other leaders included Peterson with seven goals and six assists, Floody with six goals and four assists and Palmer with four goals and one assist.

Big Foot was 12-4-1 this spring, including an 8-0 record in the RVC to win the title over McFarland, which was second at 6-1. The Chiefs fell 8-1 in a WIAA Division 3 sectional to state-bound Waukesha Catholic Memorial last week.
