Esther June Wiedenhoeft, 80, of Whitewater, passed away Jan. 14, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.
Esther was born June 12, 1935, in Lima Township to Emil and Gwendolyn (Platten) Hoge. On Aug. 7, 1954, she married Wilbur Wiedenhoeft. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2010.
Esther worked for the Whitewater Unified School District in food services for many years and was the manager of the Thrift Shop in Whitewater.
She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Esther also loved going out for breakfast and Friday night fish fry dinners, and enjoyed watching the Packers. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Danielle) Wiedenhoeft, Jeffrey (Cindy) Wiedenhoeft, and Scott (Tammy) Wiedenhoeft, all from Whitewater; six grandchildren, Star Downing, Aiden Wiedenhoeft, Thera (Ryan) McKevitt, Chad Wiedenhoeft, Jason (Kimberly) Wiedenhoeft, Matthew (Caitlin) Wiedenhoeft, three great grandchildren, Morgan, Ethan and Devin; sisters; Violet Zastoupil, of Hayward, June Sherman, of Whitewater, and Jeanette Hoge, of Rice Lake; and a brother, John (Barb) Hoge, of Whitewater.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, David Hoge.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m., at First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater with the Rev. Steven Hansen officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
