Roberta Joyce “Bobbi” Edmunds, 86, of Delavan, died Jan 13, 2016 at Mercy Walworth Medical Center.
She was born June 4, 1929, in Janesville, to Orville Olson and Delina Stinson. She graduated from Janesville High School and was a correspondent for the Janesville Gazette for more than 30 years.
She married Donald L. Edmunds on Oct. 13, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2009. She was a member of the Delavan United Methodist Church and its church choir and United Methodist Women. She was a member of Delavan Olio Club.
She was the church administrative assistant for more than 15 years and church secretary for more than 25 years. She was a teacher’s aide at Wileman Elementary School .
She is survived by daughters Ronlyn (Edward) Bauer, of Delavan, and Melody (Gerald) Johnson, of Janesville, sons, Donald C. (Sandra) Edmunds, of Delavan, and James (Lucille) Edmunds, of Shirley, Mass.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister June, her parents and her husband.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Delavan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Maribel Celiz officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville. Friends may call at the church from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the Delavan United Methodist Church.
