Bonnie B. Smith, 89, of Lake Geneva, and formerly of Genoa City, died Dec. 15, 2015, at Artisian Assisted Living.
The former Bonnie Bertha Christison was born Feb. 12, 1926, in Lafayette Township, the daughter of the late Glen and Hattie Rohda Christison. She has been a lifelong resident of Walworth County. On July 23, 1949, in Lafayette Township. Bonnie was united in marriage to Charles Smith.
She attended dress designing school after high school. She worked as a seamstress for Kohn and Allen Store in Lake Geneva and then as a receptionist for Dr. Gaylord Culp in Lake Geneva. She was an active member of the Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay. She enjoyed sewing and painting. She was active in the Walworth County 4H program.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles, of Lake Geneva; two daughter’s, Pamela Smith, of Kokomo, Ind., and Donna (David) Kriofsky, of Lake Geneva.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty and Bernice; and two brothers, LeRoy and Harvey.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Calvary Community Church N2620 Harris Road. Lake Geneva, with the Rev. Chuck Cervenka officiating. The Smith Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.
