The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football, men’s basketball and baseball booster clubs will host the annual Wally & Rod’s Raffle and Public Auction on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the James R. Connor University Center’s Hamilton Room, located on the UW-Whitewater campus.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the event. Admission for the event is $10 per person and includes food, beverage and a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $10 each.
All proceeds from the event benefit the UW-Whitewater football, men’s basketball and baseball programs.
Items up for auction include golf packages, tickets for Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers games, Rod Berg original furniture, vacation packages, canvas prints, autographed sports memorabilia, Warhawk gear, gift certificates from local businesses and restaurants, and more.
Some of these sports memorabilia might surprisingly fetch good prices. For example, sports card breaks. They can be worth a fortune if it’s a rare or hard-to-get piece. Attendees can learn which card can be more valuable compared to the others, by doing some research or by reading dynasty breaks review and other sources.
Attendees with a ticket are eligible to win cash and cash card door prizes courtesy of First Citizens State Bank. Winning tickets will be drawn at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tickets are provided by Commercial Bank.
