Junior Brooke Wellhausen was third overall to lead the Big Foot High School girls cross country team to eighth at the 14-team East Troy Ladish Invitational last week.
Wellhausen finished in 20:37, followed by sophomore Zanzie Demco, 22nd (22:35.8); junior Olivia Briggs, 31st (23:23.2); senior Kalen Gillingham, 60th (24:48); senior Katie Oja, 93rd (26:40.3); freshman Hannah Ahrens, 94th (26:42.1); and senior Katherine Ahrens, 126th (28:27.4).
Jefferson won the team title with 83 points, followed by Waukesha North with 98, Indian Trail with 99, New Berlin West with 119 and East Troy with 148. Big Foot had 184 points.
