People unhappy with their current coverage who have undergone life changes may be eligible for a special enrollment period for health insurance.
A no obligation, free information and assistance session will be held between 5 and 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Irvin L. Young Memorial Library, 431 W. Center St. in Whitewater.
A few examples of special enrollment qualifications may include: moving to a new address, having a baby or adopting a child, getting married or divorced, loss of health coverage, gaining citizenship, no longer incarcerated and a change in income.
The program is free and open to anyone. It is being offered through the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics in partnership with Covering Kids & Families Wisconsin. An additional event will be held at the ILYML on Oct. 27.
Interpreters or those requiring special accommodations are asked to call in advance.
