Lori A. Stangler, 58, of Sussex, died April 20, 2015, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 9, 1956, to the late Harry and Muriel Shaw. She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1974 and Deaconess School of Nursing in 1977. On Nov. 5, 1977, she married Alan Stangler.
She worked as a registered nurse and finished her career as the school nurse at Arrowhead High School. She was a selfless person, always thinking of others. Her passions included card making, piano and music, cooking and baking, and spending time at the family cottage up north.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Alan; her children, Chris (Jody) Stangler, Jason (Ashley) Stangler, and Bradley Stangler; grandchildren Alana and Lydia; her mother, Muriel Shaw; her brothers, Mike (Deb Lenzen) Shaw and Gary (Roger White) Shaw; and many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rodrigues and his staff and the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for all their wonderful care.
A memorial service took place at Redeemer United Church of Christ in Menomonee Falls. The Evert-Luko Funeral Home in Hartland is assisting the family.
